THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday severely criticised Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for rejecting an investigation against Binoy Kodiyeri in the alleged financial fraud case.
Chennithala said that the stand taken by Pinarayi is highly unfortunate, amounts to a denial of justice and protection to the guilty.
The Chief Minister said that there won’t be any investigations into the allegations against Binoy Kodiyeri.
“Saying that a probe would not be ordered as per allegations is against ethics. It amounts to protecting the guilty, which has never occurred
in the history of Kerala,” he said. He also alleged that even the Chief Minister is hiding something.
Chennithala questioned the stance taken by the party stating that ‘the national leadership had removed Ritabrata Banerjee for leading a
luxurious life of a Montblanc pen and iPhone while the party leadership here is protecting the son of its state secretary who has committed
fraud of Rs 13 crore’.
He also said that he will write a letter to Chief Minister raising the issue.
