High court moved against acquittal of Saseendran in phone sleaze talk case

KOCHI: A petition was filed in the Kerala High Court against the acquittal of former transport minister AK Saseendran in the sleaze phone talk case.

A social worker from Thycadu Mahalakshmi, who had earlier filed the petition in the lower court demanding not to settle the case out of court, has moved the high court with the petition.
She asked the court to invalidate the verdict of the lower court.

Saseendran was acquitted from the case solely based on the statement of the girl. The petition also demands to consider the statements of other witnesses and documents relating to the case, it has been accepted in the file, she said in her petition.

Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate court acquitted Saseendran in the sleaze talk case. The new petition has been filed as Saseendran was about to be sworn in on Thursday.
