NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its much awaited new Swift at the Auto Expo 2018 here on Thursday.
The new model comes at a starting price (ex-showroom Delhi) of Rs 4.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.96 for the top variant.
It is available in six colours and 12 variants, the company said.
Booking for the new gen car had already started in January and the estimated waiting period for new Swift is said to be a 6-8 week.
The new hatchback is available in both petrol and diesel variants along with automatic transmission options.
The engines remain unchanged, the 1.2-litre K-series petrol and the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel are still at the heart of the new Swift. The Swift first arrived in India in 2005 and has till date managed to sell a whopping 18 lakh units of the car.
